1. Interesting comments coming from Phil Redmond in todays Echo about
wanting to link organisations that want to put on events with
organisations that want to give sponsorship. You'd think this would have
been a number one priority from day one but according to Redmond:

"We've had people sending in fantastic ideas who havent had a response
or havent been treated seriously. On the other hand we've had people say
they want to help or offer support or sponsorship to CoC who havent even
had their calls returned".

Unbelievable.

Well at last it looks like they're going to "bring culture cash to the
people". Might be worth the collective finding out what exactly this
means for us and who we would speak to about this.

Perhaps time to elect someone for those kind of duties I think, someone
to be responsible for liasing with the Culture Company (I would do this
myself but I don't have experience in dealing with these kind of people
and someone else might be better skilled).


2. Also a reminder that in around 4 - 5 months time a new entertainment
quater at Paradise Street is opening with a major cinema and
conferencing. It's worth bearing in mind the likes of Apple will be
moving into their stores at Liverpool One, Top Man opening the biggest
Topshop outside of London a new HMV and Virgin, and also the likes of
Yo! Sushi, Addidas and Puma.

Some of these might make good corporate sponsors & partners for an event
and might be good cross promotion for instores and launch parties,
getting the name and idea of our collective out and their product

....especially the stores like Yo! Sushi which are completely new and
unknown to Liverpool and could do with customer education and spreading
the word on their product.
